winter room
The Adler is the annex of the Pfälzerhütte and is open to visitors during the autumn, winter, and spring months—that is, during the time when the Pfälzerhütte itself is not open for business.
The cabin sleeps 21 and can be used without reservation . The upstairs door is always open—just feel at home here.
In winter, a composting toilet is available to the right of the Eagle, as there is no running water in the hut. Please use it as described in the instructions on the inside of the door.
Inside, you'll find a wood-burning stove where you can melt snow or prepare a meal. There are also some drinks in 0.5-liter PET bottles and tea, which you're welcome to use.
Please bring a sleeping bag for the night and use the slippers that are available on the shelf.
You'll find wood both inside and outside the hut. Please use it sparingly—especially for cooking, not just for heating. At this altitude, resources are limited, and we want as many guests as possible to enjoy them.
In case of emergency, there is a first aid kit and emergency food rations.
We wish you a wonderful time at the Adler!
Please leave everything clean and ensure that the equipment and materials remain in good condition for the next visitors.
